Welcome Nursing Home Staff! Frontline staff knows the residents best. You know what each resident likes, and that what makes a good day for one person is different from another. You are the ones who make person-centered care happen. You also know the processes and routines in your community, what is working well and what could be better. This makes your participation in the improvement process invaluable. Staff registration allows individual staff members to register with the Campaign. Please note that your registration is separate from a nursing home account. A nursing home (or other long term care community) account is used to enter project data and view progress graphs. Who should register? Every staff member plays an important role in making the community thrive. All direct care staff Certified or licensed nurse assistants Nutrition, dietary, and food service staff Activities directors and activities staff Social workers Housekeeping, laundry, grounds, and maintenance staff Nurses, doctors, and therapists Administrative and support staff Clinical consultants, such as dietitians and pharmacists Volunteers Why register? Show support for quality care in nursing homes. Receive regular updates on the Campaign. Let us know if you are interested in working at either the state or national level to support other staff. The Domestic Lean Goddess video (YouTube - 6 minutes) introduces the “quality improvement cycle.” The topic is one we can all relate to: Getting the kids to school on time. After watching the video, check out the Campaign’s Circle of Success. The Circle of Success includes the steps in a quality improvement project. The website has resources for each of these steps, for each of nine topics (goals). What are the nine Campaign goals (topics)? Check out these videos, each 7 minutes or less. Each video introduces one of the nine Campaign goals, and also provides more information on how quality improvement projects work. Get started with Staff fact sheets, below.
